Edinburgh Cannons 12 - Glasgow Comets 10

Comets game report -

2016's hottest day in Scotland so far as Edinburgh Cannons visited Glasgow for the first time this year to take on the Glasgow Comets. In what turned out to be an emotionally draining game the visitors ended up needing extra innings to edge out another improved performance from the Glasgow Comets.

Glasgow Galaxy 9 - Edinburgh Cannons 6

Cannons game report -

The one thing we took from this game is that we never gave up. We constantly battled when the chips were down and kept this game close with a few key plays making the difference in the end.

Galaxy jumped on starter Jason Derr to take an early 2 run lead in the top of the first. This is where we showed our heart and battled back, with lead off hitter Ruari Dunn getting on with a lead off single, taking second base, stealing third and scoring on Derr's ground out to second.

Edinburgh Cannons 18 - Edinburgh Giants 3

Cannons game report - The score doesn't reflect how well played this game was through the first 7 innings. Both teams went scoreless in the first before Gilberto Martinez lead off with a walk in the second, stole second and scored as Dale "Turtle" Lunn knocked him in giving the Cannons the early 1-0 lead.  Giants tried to get something going in the bottom of the 2nd, but a quick 1-4-3 double play dashed their hopes.

Edinburgh Diamond Devils 17 - Edinburgh Cannons 4

The Devils and the Cannons faced off in the traditional start to the Scottish baseball season, but you could be forgiven in thinking that this was a midseason game with what expert meteorologists have advised is “The Sun” making appearing in the sky much to everyone’s surprise.
